Noise-Induced Hearing Loss

Impulse sounds such as gunshots, explosions or jet engines can cause immediate and permanent damage if the person does not wear hearing protection.

The symptoms of hearing loss induced

For those developing NIHL over a period of time, the symptoms occur gradually. Over time, they may have distorted or muffled hearing, and possibly their hearing will deteriorate at a total loss.

People who suffer NIHL after acute exposure to loud noise can also meet a number of other side effects associated with the degradation of the inner ear have suffered. These include dizziness and vertigo, tinnitus, changes in heart rate and increased blood pressure.
